A limited amount of drums will be available for hire.

The Djembe Orchestra will welcome you with a short performance.

In traditional Djembe Music there’s a song and dance for every occasion.

Djembe means “Unity”. We UNIFY with a ceremonial rhythm—“Lighting the 9 fires of Africa”.

From there we will play around with a few basic West African rhythms and interlocking patterns,  held together by the dounoun bass—the mother of drums.

Djembe music is for dancing! The rise of the full moon, and energy of the drums,  excites dancers to step into the circle. Feel the heat. Be danced. Ecstatic dance. Fire dancers welcome.

Catch your breath. Break for a potluck feast. Bring a plate of delicious plant base food to share.

Closing circle. Relax to a World Music Sound Journey with guest musicians of the highest calibre and a surprising range of instruments. An intuitive happening.
